The Bethany Presbyterian Spiritual Formation Commission leads a book study on Jamie Ford’s Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
The 2009 bestselling novel (historical fiction) tells the story of love and friendship between a Chinese-American boy and Japanese-American girl during the Japanese Internment in 1942.
The book is available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
This will be a good introduction to the September 13 storytelling evening, when Japanese-American speakers who were interned during WWII will share their stories.
