History

“The Gathering” was founded in April, 2013 by Judy Davis as a project housed at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Sacramento, CA and supported by Bethany. We offer an assortment of writing workshops, readers theater events, and storytelling presentations. Our activities are always free of charge. although we do encourage participants to bring a canned or packaged item for the local food closet. In October, 2013 we received grants from the Mission Agency of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the Sacramento Presbytery to further support this project.
